shows tabletRunning a business can be a stressful endeavor.  The good news is that there are a lot of online cost-effective tools and resources at your fingertips to help manage and enhance your business.  These tools not only can make your life easier, but can help you grow your business.  If you are determined to make your mark in the online world you may want to consider the following tools:

Marketing
Prezi is a cloud based interactive platform that is used to make presentations.  It allows you to zoom in and out and this creates an interesting visual that is appealing to the eye.

Canva is a design program that helps you to create banners, brochures, business cards, flyers, letterhead, poster and presentations.

Zoho is known as the operating system for business.  You can use it for sales, marketing, email, collaboration, business process, finance, IT and help desk and human resources.

MailChimp is an emailing marketing service that is used to manage subscribers, send emails and it even tracks results.

99designs helps you to build a design that is perfect for your business.  They have many designers who will compete to give you a great custom design and you just pick your favourite.

Shopify can help you build your own online store and use the platform to create your own brand.

WordPress can help you create and manage a website for your business.

Search Engine Optimization
MOZ is an application that can help you learn about search engine optimization.  It has a tutorial for beginners that cover the fundamental strategies that make your website search engine-friendly.

Networking
Skype is an application that provides peer to peer/group discussions and video chat.  Documents and images can be exchanged.  Conference calling is also available.

LinkedIn is a social networking service that can be used to introduce and grow your contacts.  You can post a job or for a group of people who are like minded and share the same interests.

Time Management
Evernote is an application that allows you to create project to-do lists and if you have problems remembering everything you can create a reminder or note.

Hootsuite helps you with time management by helping you manage your social media.

Dropbox gives you access to all of your files from anywhere so that you can share them with anyone.

Google Tools
Google alerts is a notification service where you can create your own alerts by entering words you want and then receive email notifications when those words are used.
Google Analytics provides data and marketing information that can help you understand the consumer so that you can be more engaging and provide better service.

Market research
SurveyMonkey enables you to create and send surveys to present and prospective clients.  It can help you to define your target market.
