The Halton Region Small Business Centre has assisted in the success of launching six start-up companies and helping these young entrepreneurs receive a $5000 grant, through the Starter Company program.
The Starter Company program provides business skills training and development to youth from the ages of 18 to 29. The program helps with understanding business plan development and operations and if successful, the opportunity to apply for a grant of up to $5,000.00.
The six young entrepreneurs who have been awarded the $5000 grant thus far are:
Headquartered in Georgetown, Alias Apps strives to provide its clients with professionally coded and non-outsourced apps at affordable rates. All of the coding, testing and design will be done in house to ensure that all of the apps meet or surpass industry standards. Alias Apps was Halton’s first recipient of the $5000 Starter Company Grant.

Molly Burke is a young motivational speaker from Oakville.
