On October 14, Halton Region will host the annual Bridges to Better Business event. This year’s theme is “The Business of Art and the Art of Business.” This is an opportunity to connect with others in the creative sector and to be inspired.

When: Wednesday, October 14, 2015
Time: 7:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Where: Queen Elizabeth Park Facility at 2302 Bridge Road, Oakville
Cost: $30 per person (breakfast included)

Who should attend:
This event is intended for businesses and individuals in the creative sector including: actors, animators, those in broadcasting and theatre, graphic, fashion, interior and web designers, film makers, writers, music writers and publishers as well as publishers, visual artist and all those who work in the creative field.
- Wayne DeAdder
Wayne has been a professional musician for over 30 years. He has played with many Canadian music legends (including David Wilcox and Jeff Healey) and opened for acts like BB King and Jeff Beck.
- Monica Graves
Monica has been designing and creating jewelry for over 20 years. Her company glamjulz is a passion and an outlet to help her connect with women and make them feel great about themselves. Each one of her pieces is designed to help give women the power and confidence to be anything they want to be!
- Krista Blondin
Award winning singer, event producer and entertainment consultant, Krista has a 20-year history performing and working in showbiz singing Rock ‘n’ roll, Blues, Jazz, Pop, R&B, Top 40 and country. Her journey in showbiz began in her early 20’s working behind the scenes on productions for CBC Television, which ultimately led to her career in music.
We will also hear two local spotlight stories from clients of the Small Business Centre. They will share their business experiences on how they been inspired and where they are today in their businesses.
