With the use of smartphones and tablets to access social media sites as well as specific
company websites, small business owners need to understand how to find and engage their clients online. Website strategies need to include SEO and mobile integration to better serve customers now and in the future. Along with the top social media channels, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, what other social media channels are being used by consumers?
On October 15, the Halton Region Small Business Centre will be hosting an event that is all about getting results online for your business. The event will provide two streams of break-out sessions focusing on Getting Results Socially and By Design, a presentation on “Building Your Marketing Toolkit” and plenty of opportunities to network will fellow small business owners.
The break-out sessions will be presented by Steve Loates and Amy Douma from e-Commerce Essentials. Stream 1 – Getting Results “Socially” will focus on social media channels and what is being used by businesses. Stream 2 – Getting Results “By Design” will focus on web design essentials and how to get more leads from your website. The participants will choose to attend either Stream 1 or Stream 2 at time of registration.
The lunch speaker, Lisa Kember, is the Regional Development Director, Eastern Canada at Constant Contact. Lisa will present on “Building Your Marketing Toolkit”.
We will also hear two local spotlight stories from clients of the Small Business Centre. They will share their business experiences on how they obtained results online to get them to where they are today in their businesses.
